'beyond control' (2023) is an interactive installation inspired by a nightly ritual of taking a birth control pill at 9:30 p.m. Over time, the pill package becomes more than medication; it turns into a personal calendar that marks the passage of days. Each pill embodies time, repetition, and dependency. The work reflects on the quiet rituals that structure daily life, tracing how routine transforms from anticipation to numbness, and how control and surrender coexist within the rhythms of habit.
